Two words. Magic Mouse.
A lot of the time I accidentally slide my finger (only slightly) on the surface of the Magic Mouse. Is there any way to disable changing the parameters by scrolling? Or, is there a way to set it so Cubase only changes parameters by scrolling when one or two of the modifier keys are being pressed? _________________ Mac Pro 3.2GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon "Nehalem" (Mid 2010)

Two words:
Apple Mouse.
Two more words:
Stop fidgeting.
Kidding aside, you are dealing with an Apple Magic Mouse issue. There isn't anything in Cubase that will shut off accidental mouse-generated input commands. Either come to grips with the fact that the entire surface of the MagicMouse is sensitive to any finger motion or simply switch mice. That's what I did. The Magic Mouse drove me batty. And not just with Cubase. Every app I use suffers from accidental scrolling input from this thing. Yes, I fidget. Lots of people do. It's a natural thing. Unfortunately, that translates into the problem you're having. You might try restricting some of the swipe functionality in the Mouse preferences and see if that helps any....otherwise, get out your old mini wheel Apple mouse when you're working with Cubase. _________________ Posted from The Cornfield™

Fair point, Weasel. I had a feeling someone was going to say something along those lines.
I actually like the Magic Mouse. Absolutely hated the old Apple "Mighty" Mouse because the scroll ball would become clogged with dust. Had to clean it out at least once a month. Was very annoying. The Magic Mouse is so much better in my opinion, except for the fact that it's quite sensitive. I'll just have to deal with it and try to stop fidgeting. I still think it would be a good idea for Cubase to have a preference to disable changing parameters by scrolling. Thanks for your input. _________________ Mac Pro 3.2GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon "Nehalem" (Mid 2010)

On the whole and considering the growing amount of input devices that deal with surface touch technology, this isn't an unreasonable suggestion.
For many of us, trying to restrict motion with the new mouse is difficult. Considering we've been dealing for years with mouse surfaces that had specific and defined clickable/scrollable target areas....there were always safe areas to tap or "fidget" consciously (or unconsciously) with. With this new fully sensitive mouse surface, that's a lot of muscle-memory to reprogram.
Just sayin'.... _________________ Posted from The Cornfield™
