This might be somewhat of a dumb question, but I am truly not sure of what to do here. When you buy an upgrade to Cubase (or basically any music software package), must you keep all the previous copies you have bought over the years? I don't have a lot of room to store all these old versions, and they're certainly not installed on my computer anymore - I always use the new one that I just got as my current version.
Thanks, and sorry if this seems like a silly question. I'm just not sure if I need to have all these old copies cluttering up my bookshelves if the current version is valid and registered to me. |

Hello,
no need to keep them. All Cubase upgrades are always full versions in themselves. As long as you have your USB-eLicenser with your license you are good to go.

I guess the only thing to keep in mind is that if you have an upgrade version, you won't be able to sell the old versions.
I keep old versions on 2 DAW's, as they don't take up much space, just in case a client brings old formats in, but the manuals etc I have stored in boxes. _________________ House Of Trees Music Productions. |

Do keep your original purchased CD, though. _________________ Cubase 5.1.1 | Cubase 4.5.2 | SX3.1.1 | Mac OSX 10.6.4 and 10.5.8 | Mac Quad-Core 2.66gHz | 6GB RAM | MOTU PCI-424/2408mk3 | MOTU MidiTimepice AV |
