|
|
Hi..
I've just bought a Lexicon Lambda and while attempted to install the bundled Cubase LE4 software I get an error at the point when the Syncrosoft POS (Protected Object Server) attempts to run for the first time. I just get the standard "Application has stopped working" message. The rest of the installation is perfect in every other way. I've been searching through the forums and knowledge base for the last hour or so for a solution to my problem but I don't see one yet.
After the installation is over, if I run the License Control Center, it just says that there are "no licensers found". In the box there was the Lambda, a USB connection cable to connect the Lambda to my computer, and an installation CD. The only paperwork inside was the product registration card and a manual for the Lexicon Reverb plug-in. There was no dongle.. no "key".. no activation code.. nothing else. I bought this thing brand new and the box still had the security seal intact when I got it home.
I've checked everywhere I can think of but I can't work out what I to do.
I am running Windows Vista Premium 32-bit.. |

| Same problem here. And the link the guy before posted didn't help me any. my LCC didn't install right either had an error UpdateUSBDriverRouting.exe not found. when I finally got the eLicenser to work it can't find any license anywhere. I can't register without the 20 diget number and I can't find that. I can't even run the demo and it's becoming a pain. |

| Got the same problem... Syncrosoft doesn't find any elicensers. I bought a Steinberg Key, and Syncrosoft finds that, but it's still of no use. |

Hello,
I finally got the problem solved - an email to Syncrosoft cleared up the mess.
My problem was really this: No elicenser number was generated on my Vista machine. It was solved with following procedure:
1. at first please uninstall the Syncrosoft LC, to do that, go to the Start menu in Windows -> Control Panel > Programs and Features and remove the Syncrosoft License Control Center entry.
2. to ensure that no remains of the installation interfere in the future, please delete the folder 'Syncrosoft' from your Windows system partition in the 'Program Files' folder
3. what is not uninstalled is the soft-eLicenser file itself, to delete it, please navigate into this location:
C:\ProgramData\Syncrosoft (and delete the whole folder 'Syncrosoft')
-> This 'ProgramData' - folder is usually a hidden system folder, you may need to adjust the Windows folder options to make it visible. Skip this step if the 'Syncrosoft' folder can not be found in: C:\ProgramData\ !
4. now download (if not already done) the latest version of the Syncrosoft LCC to your desktop:
http://www.syncrosoft.com/downloads/SyncrosoftLicenseControlSetup.exe
5. now start the command prompt...
- go to Start -> Programs -> Accessories
- select "Command Prompt"
6. right mouse click on the Syncrosoft installer -> select "Properties"
- please note the path at "Location:"
- now enter this path into the command prompt, and add SyncrosoftLicenseControlSetup.exe /regsel
e.g.
full path you have to enter in the command prompt:
"C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Desktop\SyncrosoftLicenseControlSetup.exe" /regsel
- after entering this, press 'Enter' and a new Soft-eLicenser will be created
- now install Cubase LE 4 again
This enabled me to download the license and run Cubase LE 4 on my Vista machine.
Thanks to Syncrosoft and Steinberg for the quick responses!
Best wishes,

| I've been having the same problems. I followed your instructions until you describe how to use the command prompt. Then things started to get a little fuzzy....... |

I've been having the same problems with vista and understood the instructions untill I got to step five with the command prompt. Seeing as I am not much of computer guy in this area, I am not familiar with the syntax of command prompt. you said the full syntax of the prompt looks like:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Desktop\SyncrosoftLicenseControlSetup.exe" /regsel
Mine automatically starts off with:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME>
Are you supposed to add the "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Desktop\SyncrosoftLicenseControlSetup.exe" /regsel" to the bit that my command prompt automatically starts off with? I have this extra ">" thing that seems to really be cofusing me.
Thanks for the patience in answering my stupid question, the computers don't like me...

Shadlock, Yes enter the whole line. Good Luck, because when I did it on my vista machine, it said it couldn't recognise the command, and system cannot find the path specified. And I know I got all the spelling right. |

I have done this, and instead of it working, I got the message: C:\Users\Mike' is not recognized as an internal or external command operable program or batch file. The system cannot find the path specified. I googled the messages, and found part of the problem and fixed it. But I am still getting the last sentence in the message. I also tried it on my XP laptop and can't get it to work there either. Anyone have any ideas? I wnat this thing to work so I can start learning how to use it before tomorrow night when i go back on my 12 hour night shift for a week. I'm almost tempted to just download Krystal audio and use my Tascam US144mkII with it instead of this piece of junk. This is the first time I've ever had software that had an "unlock key just to use a trial version. It should be simpler than this.
Please help. |
