what's the purpose of having a volume faders in the mixer for midi channels when they aren't going to work? I'm using Battery 3 as my sampler. I want to change the volume individually for the kick, snare, hat, and a boatload of other samples that i have in the cells of battery 3 _________________ cubase 5 | padkontrol | fatar vmk-188+ | windows 7 64bit | battery 3 | rokit rp8 g2 | ultralite mk3 | http://www.kwestro.com |

Did you enable multiple outputs from your Battery 3 VSTi? I think most folks would tend to regulate this way rather than with the midi faders.
Alternately, is your MIDI Filter disabling controllers by any chance? _________________ Heuristic

Does Battery even accept CC volume for individual pads? Not velocity tweaks to notes in the stream before they get there, but the master volume for that pad? I had Battery 1 a long time ago but I don't recall.
Volume in the Cubase mixer for midi tends to work on a particular midi channel so it seems that every pad would need to be on a separate midi channel to adjust them with midi faders. Most people would use the audio faders. _________________ The Audio Cave |

You are referring to the fader on a Cubase MIDI mixer channel?
No, it sends CC#7 to the connect MIDI channel.
Battery 3 does respond to CC#7, but, as stated elsewhere, on a per channel basis, so it would only work on individual cells if they were set to individual MIDI channels. _________________ Cubase 5.1.1 | Cubase 4.5.2 | SX3.1.1 | Mac OSX 10.6.4 and 10.5.8 | Mac Quad-Core 2.66gHz | 6GB RAM | MOTU PCI-424/2408mk3 | MOTU MidiTimepice AV |
