|
|
Hi, all!
I use this excellent and simple drum sampler with my Cubase 5 (earlier 32-bit version of Cubase installed) but now as I re-installed the Cubase 5 as 64-bit version, that LM4 doesn't work anymore, Cubase won't recognize it on the Instruments section (F11 key).. Any solution to that? Is there a 64-bit compatible version available? I thought that 32-bit versions automatically work also with 64-bit software but damn,, this one doesn't.
Any help from you guys??
Thanks in advance!!

Wow, LM4 Marl II !!! haven't seen that in operation in nearly 10 years! Didn't know anyone still used it Was cool in it's day... You'd think Steinberg would make their software backwards compatible.
Sorry don't know the answer to your question, but if you need to look into another drum program, may want to look at EZDrummer. Besides the kits that come with it, has several expansion packs to use with it for almost any style. _________________ VST 32/5.1 W.L. 3.0 Aardvark Q10/Aark 24 Cards ASUS P5KC MB Q9300 CPU 4GBRam WinXP 3 Seagate HDD's Gigabyte Radeon PCIe dual Video 2 Sony 17" Trinitrons CD/DVD-RW Logitech Cordless Keyboard/Mouse

It's OK, I managed to make it work also in 64-bit CUBASE! By putting the VST-plugin files to also in the VST plugins folder and the same folder under the Cubase5 folder
And beside, I'm a retro guy I DO HAVE a purchased Groove Agent 3 but I think it has so flaws... Only 3 tom tracks and then you should trick with Dual Mode and stuff. I would be much better if you could add the tracks for as many as you like and make categories and stuff, like "symbals", "toms", "snares" etc. and WHATSOEVER you'd like.
And that totally SUCKS that with your own imported clips you cannot forward them to separate VST-outputs!!! I was totally *quiz* of by that when I heard it! WHY THE HELL NOT?? With LM-4 Mark II YOU CAN DO JUST THAT!!
And there should be t.eg. several "FILL" buttons" and so on for maybe like "with toms", "with snare", "with bass pedal" and all when to do the recording for the MIDI track. I don't want to use automation - I just now have to hope that it would use more toms etc. And then I'll just record like 20 or so minutes with different types of complexity, different fills, etc. etc. etc. and then I just cut & paste the pleasing part into the final song's drum track.
And what sucks also is that IT'S NOT COMPATIBLE WITH 64-BIT CUBASE!!!!!!!!!! Damn WHY THE HELL NOT???? Even LM4 now is - as I managed to make it work??? I mean it won't record MIDI with 64-bit Cubase.
And that DUAL MODE is altogether awquard, I haven't got the point. Yet, I haven't even got the Special Agent to work for some reason.. Gotta contact Steinberg for that.. Maybe I tried to use 64-bit version of CUB.. I can't remember, gotta try again.
Altogether, maybe it's just so "large" software" that I need to learn it a bit more. Anyway I HAVE done one song with in Finnish language. With the drum recording methods that I mentioned before. You can find it at: http://www.pc-professor.fi/temp/Rappiolla-MIND-A-STRAY.mp3
The GA3 has got one HELL OF A SNARE sound thou
