I don't understand the choices on the HSO Output field: "Hso1 Violin" "Hso2 Viola" etc..... I didn't see this in the manual.
Before installing the latest HSO update, (I've only loaded from scratch today), the outputs had names corresponding
to my VST output names (stereo1 out left, stereo2 right, etc).
How are these HSO-type names related to the actual VST stereo audio outputs.
Just to say that this HSO is the 30 day version that came with my Cst4 to Cst5 upgrade.
I like the 16-bit sounds, they are ok for a dancing school composition, which I mainly do.
I would like to purchase it as a VST instrument, but the time I've spent getting it to work
is very costly. Some upto date installation notes might get you more customers.

If you stick HSO in the VST instrument rack and click that little arrow to activate all the instrument's outputs, then you will see each of those outputs that you referenced appear in the Cubase mixer on its own channel strip, which is then routed to the stereo bus (or some other place if you decide to change that strip's routing). In practical terms, this means you can route all horns to the horns output, all strings to another output, etc. and process each of these outputs separately. Of course, you can always route each HSO output to the same stereo output so you process everything together, but having multiple outputs provides a lot of flexibility when it comes to mixing, applying, effects, etc.

Incidentally, if you use orchestral sounds at all, I'd suggest plunking down the USD 99 if you can afford it. I've been using it for a while, am happy with it, and think it's a great value for the money.
